While anyone can benefit from learning about the imperativeness of LGBTQ+ inclusion within societal and professional environments, the target audience for this dissection will be the Millennials and Generation Z of our society's current working class (People born between 1981 and the early 2000s, ideally Generation Z members who range from the age of 18 to 22). Millennials are currently populating the workplace demographic at 35% with a projection of dominating the field at 75% by the year 2025. Generation Z has been setting and driving most workplace trends, such as setting the tone for the new trend of enforcing a healthy, communicative, inclusive work environment. A study conducted by TalentLMS from Forbes Online concluded that 77% of Generation Z workers want to work for a company with a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion while 73% believe that workers should be allowed to express themselves freely. While there is no sexual orientation or race limitation on the demographic of individuals aiming to be targeted, however, a specialized focus on LGBTQ+ individuals within the workforce will be a priority. If we want to be a part of the societal trend of promoting the equality and diversity we want to see, then we must include those of this marginalized community to ensure their communal voice is properly heard, respected, and represented within the media and professional environments.
